At passionforpattern we understand and sympathise with those who find pattern difficult.

Pattern is difficult. In a sense that is why we love it; when we get it right, it makes all the agonising worthwhile. So, at last, here is help for those not blessed with the same frame of mind…simple striped borders that are so wonderfully sleek and subtle that even the most die hard minimalist can’t failed to be charmed. Indulge in more subtle splendour at Pure Style.

Interesting this luscious new scheme from luxury bedmakers  Vi Spring.  For three reasons. Jewel-like colour. Tick. Layering. Double tick. But there is something else deeply intriguing;  beautiful, gently rounded Wilton headboard that doesn’t tower over the room like a skyscraper. Triple tick.

Not that there’s anything wrong with those that do loom large…but simply that observers of  the ever shifting sands of interiors trends might be forgiven for thinking that headboards come in just one size….XXXXXL. This could be the beginning. Honest. Trust us. It really could. We’re interiors bloggers. We KNOW.

    Rug and roll…

Passionforpattern hero Roger Oates – he of the discreetly, chicly patterned rugs and runners –  has launched a blog. And very quirky and entertaining it is too. Not to say, gloriously unself-promoting; more an insight into his fertile mind than a thinly-veiled sales tool.

Patternistas, your life will be less without it…dive in.

    Infinite possibilities…

More evidence that textile design is on the move, increasingly unshackled by either convention or technology…check out these new arrivals from those creative savants at  Zinc that are based on designs by  Rene Gruau, the French illustrator who worked for Marie Claire and Figaro as well as a host of fashion houses including Balenciaga, Schiaparelli and Givenchy. Love it? Hate it?  Darlings, that simply isn’t the point. This is art.
